Ann Arbor BJJ

ATHLETE
PROGRAM.

A skill-development program for grapplers who want to compete. We build truly skilled, adaptable grapplers — then develop competing as its own skill on top of that. Every age and level. Non-members are welcome to apply.

Limited space · serious athletes only
What We Do

WHAT WE
DO.

First and foremost, this is a skill-development program. We build truly skilled grapplers — adaptable, capable, and able to solve problems against whoever is in front of them. Competing is its own skill, and we develop that on top of a deep base of real, functional jiu-jitsu.

Training runs on the Constraints-Led Approach and Ecological Dynamics. You develop skill by solving real grappling problems against resisting partners — from day one — with coaching that designs the problems, guides you through them, and gives the feedback to sharpen what works. The result is adaptable jiu-jitsu that holds up under pressure.

On that base, we train the full picture of competing: timing, decision-making, physical preparation, and the mental side of stepping on the mat to perform.

  • Live, task-focused rounds that build timing, perception, and adaptability
  • Coaching that designs the problems and guides you through solving them
  • Strength and mobility programming that supports performance and longevity
  • A set competition schedule, with planning and honest feedback

Additional Support

SPONSORSHIP
& SUPPORT.

Sponsorship is earned, not given — and spots are even more limited than the athlete program itself. For athletes who show uncommon commitment and long-term potential, we can help carry the cost of competing.

  • Tournament entry assistance
  • Travel support for select competitions
  • Elevated accountability standards

In nearly every case this means joining the program first and earning it over time — through consistency, character, and alignment with our standards. Joining the program is the path to sponsorship, never a guarantee of it. We just believe finances shouldn't be the reason a dedicated athlete can't chase their goals.

For the Committed

FULL-TIME
PATHWAY.

For athletes who want to build their life around training and competition, a limited full-time pathway is available — for people ready to commit deeply to the sport.

  • Housing support
  • Food support
  • Mentorship within the sport
  • Guidance toward long-term opportunities in jiu-jitsu
  • Elevated accountability standards

Selective, and built for those after something bigger than occasional competition.
