Real skill development through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu — structured, positive, and taught the way kids actually learn, designed and overseen by a black belt with a degree in early childhood education.
Month-to-month, no contract — billed on your signup date each month, pause or cancel anytime with 10 days' email notice. One free trial class per kid, for Michigan residents — book it by text and we'll have them on the roster when you walk in.
Two classes by age — same mat, same approach, scaled to how each age learns. Every kids membership starts with a free class and a $49 first month.
Movement games, grappling basics, and listening skills. Short enough to hold attention, structured enough to build real coordination and confidence. Parents welcome to watch every class.
About the 4–7 classOur adult curriculum scaled for kids — live problem-solving in a structured, positive room, four evenings a week.
About the 8–12 classAge groups are a starting point, not a wall. A capable 7-year-old can move up to the 8–12 class with coach approval — that's the $125/month membership, with four classes a week instead of two — and a 13-year-old can stay in kids if that's the safer fit. A ready 8+ can move up to adult classes with coach approval — that's a move to the adult membership at $149/month, with full access to the whole schedule. Both kids classes run at the same time on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so siblings are one drop-off.
Text us your kid's name and age. We'll confirm the class and have them on the roster — and tell you where to park.
T-shirt and athletic shorts or sweatpants — no zippers, pockets, or hard buttons. Bare feet on the mat. No uniform to buy.
Arrive a few minutes early. A coach meets you, gets your kid onto the mat at their own pace, and you watch the whole class from the lounge.
Don't need the trial — or just watched them love it? Sign up online right now. The first month is $49. Coming back after a break? Use the join link on your kid's class card above.
The kids program is designed and overseen by Head Coach Royce Miller — a black belt under Margot Ciccarelli with a degree in early childhood education. Expectations are clear, progressions are age-appropriate, and nobody gets forced onto the mat.
More questions? The 4–7 and 8–12 pages answer the ones parents actually ask.

“My kids have already learned so much. The best part? We don't have to convince them to go — they want to go. The coach and his partner are wonderful people, and it honestly feels like family.”
“My daughter (11 yr old) has been training under coach Royce for 3 years. He's a great coach with passion for the sport and the students. Without a doubt the best bang for the buck — flexible hours, unlimited training, modern training style, and a cool environment.”
“I've trained under him for 4 years… I've earned nearly 200 tournament wins, with over 90% being 1st place finishes. His degree in childhood development makes him exceptionally great at coaching kids as well as adults.”
